L'associazione si è costituita in Italia nel 1999 con sede in Milano ed è registrata come Organizzazione Non Lucrativa di Utilità Sociale (Onlus).
L'associazione è privata, non confessionale e indipendente.
Il suo scopo principale è espresso già dal nome "CHILDREN's CHARITY" che significa, tradotto in italiano, AIUTO AI BAMBINI. In particolare, come è stato fissato nell'articolo 2 del proprio statuto, l'associazione svolge le seguenti attività:
realizzazione di iniziative e progetti, nei paesi poveri del mondo, con interventi di sostegno alle prime necessità per l'alimentazione e il vestiario, l'igiene, le cure mediche, la formazione scolastica dei bambini, la formazione professionale dei giovani, l'aiuto alle famiglie;
promozione della musica come sostegno al percorso educativo dei bambini, mirata anche a superare situazioni di disagio fisico e psichico.

Organising long-term projects and other activities in the poor countries of the world, with a specific focus on addressing the basic needs for : nutrition and clothing, hygiene, medical care, school education for small children, vocational training for young people, help for families;
promotion of music as an aid to the educational development of children and help in dealing with occurrences of physical and mental discomfort...
